FAQ’s:
What are the ages for each league?
T-Ball: 4-6 years old
Parents may decide if they want their 6 year old child to play TBall or Rookie.
Rookie: 6-8 years old
All players who will be 8 years old for the Spring season are required to attend Minor League tryouts.
8 year olds who are not selected in the Minor league draft will play in/return to the Rookie league. In most years, the league’s 8 year olds are split approximately in half between Rookie and Minor.
7 year olds may try out for the Minor League with Board of Directors approval. That 7 year old player may or may not be drafted into the Minor League, and if undrafted, will return to the Rookie League.
Minor: 8-11 years old
Any child that will be 10 or older in the upcoming season is required to try out for Majors in the Fall.
Major: 10-12 years old
All league’s 12 year olds will play in Majors unless a request is made by a parent and approved by both the Minor League director and the Player Agent.
Senior: 13-15 years old
To be drafted onto a Senior team, a player who is not currently on a Senior team and will be 13-15 in the upcoming season is required to tryout to be drafted.
How is a baseball “Player Age” determined?
Baseball “Player Age” is the age of your child on April 30th for the upcoming season.
How will I be notified about team placement?
Your child’s team manager will contact you.
When are practices?
Practices are elected when all head coaches have selected their team players and select the best field availability.
When are games?
T-Ball and Rookie leagues play Saturday mornings. Minor league games are on Tuesdays, Thursday, and some Saturdays. Major league plays Monday and Wednesday.
When are tryouts?
2024:
March 3, 2024 at the WMHS Gym.
Minor League is 12-2
Major League is 2-4
ALL players in Minor and Major leagues must attend tryouts
(including players who will be 8 years old for the spring season)
When does the season start?
2024: Weather Permitting
Monday,: Major League Season Begins April 22, 2024
Tuesday, : Minor League Season Begins April 23, 2024
Saturday, : Opening Day Ceremony & First Day of T-Ball and Rookie April 27, 2024
